    Farm to Table

Summer is here and the Farmer's Market is the place to be at 9am in the morning when the weather is a little cooler than scorching. For this early bird special, I couldn't help but pull out an easy-breezy outfit to fit into the fair-like setting.

Start out with a delicious, peachy, hi-low top and add on a classic Ralph Lauren baby blue and white striped button-up.

Add on a pair of freshly-cut, nude, cat eye sunglasses and a simply done fedora.

Toss a navy Longchamp 'Le Pliege", oversized handbag into the mix.

Finish it off with the perfect pair of buckled-up flats.

Busy, busy streets with busy, busy vendors.

Famous Fredericksburg Texas Peaches by the bushel.

Taking a bite out of a Fredericksburg sample peach.

Breakfast Pizzas from the set-up brick oven from one of the street vendors.

Just one menu from the many local vendors and independent restaurants. From coffee to kolaches, you can find anything to suit your fancy.

Aside from fresh fruit and organic vegetables, there were also Dwarf Peach Trees for sale.

The artisan cheese booth where we sampled as much as we could. From the sharpest of cheddar to peppered cheese, we couldn't help but want them all.

Kate and her sought after organic carrots. Besides carrots she also was the proud purchaser of artisan cheese and a loaf of French Bread.

Kara in the midst of other shoppers looking for basil, kale, and blackberries.

The pavilion for eating your newly bought fresh produce and listening to live music.

Just a snippet of the crowd and ,most likely, an elderly couple way more fit than I will ever be.

Though I didn't have the pleasure of purchasing much food today, I did dabble in the abundance of samples from lavender soaps to freshly popped kettle corn. The one big purchase I made went to the "Go Local Card, Austin" Tent. I have been wanting one of these bad boys since my 19th birthday, but never went around to purchasing them online. Online they range around $20 with shipping, but you can pick one up at the Farmer's Market for $15.50, tax included.

The Go Local Card will last you a year starting from the month you purchase it and will get you permanent deals on local Austin entertainment and TONS of local Austin eateries, which we all know goes a long way.
