My name is Amaris, but at Starbucks I go by Amy, and this is a facet of the internet that I would love to dedicate to the beautiful city of Austin, Texas. The city has a certain style and flair you just can't fully capture no matter how long you've been here. Growing up here has been a blessing filled with fresh food, new music, and the friendliest people you will never meet.

Aside from the moving city, I am also a Studio Art Major at the University of Texas at Austin. With 50,000 plus students you can find anything from the typical southern greek student to the outrageous theater kid to the all-star athlete. Above all the differences though, these kids know how to dress. From the mix has risen some of the more creative ways to dress a back pack.

That is sort of where this blog and its title, a+plus+am, comes from. The A+plus part denotes the school focus and also the phase of life I am currently in. Everyone says they love college and that is truly the case for me as well. Besides documenting the world around me, this is also dedicated to noting a moment of enthusiasm, appreciation, and learning, while reminding myself to "live accordingly".
Besides rushing to 8am life drawing or stopping a stranger to compliment them on their outfit, I enjoy eating my froomie's (best friend/roommate) baked goods, tickling my cat, Butters, happy hours around Austin with the bf, and enjoying the Texas sun.
