    The Hit List: May

For the month of May, I've already started looking towards the Fall for a little bit of fashion-forward inspiration. It might be a little early and it might be a touch backwards, but I want to try to incorporate future trend predictions into my summer wardrobe.

Why the sudden want, no need, to do this?

Check out Alice & Olivia's Pre-Fall 2012 Line and just die a little inside.

Welcome to the sixties and all its mod, printed, glory.

The first item I've been on the hunt for are high-waisted, wide legged, printed pants. This item might be a little specific, but with its thin billowy material and maxi-skirt-like shape, it would be a perfect item to buy now and bring into Fall. Wear it now with a sheer sleeves top or a brightly colored bandeau and a pair of cork wedges.

Wear it in the fall with light weight sweaters, jersey tops or jean button downs.

Before you buy look at the pattern and fit. If you love the fit and the pattern can seamlessly flow into your fall wardrobe, I would chime in and devilishly say, "buy! buy! buy!".

What could be more perfect for a summer day out than a loose shift dress and comfortable pair of flats? Not only will you look out-of-this-world good, you would have pulled it off with minimal effort.

Gingham at its finest in this simple shift dress.

Modern day sixties as glam as possible.

A fun ponytail or side ponytail to continuously look chic yet cool in the sweltering heat.

Though summer can literally melt the make up right off your face, it might be fun to try out some super thick eyeliner just for fun during the laid-back season. From classic black to cobalt blue, have fun with shapes and be bold with color.

Now all that is left to do is find a genuine French Cafe to complete the summer look. Any suggestions?
